i want to get the valve cover on my alty polished, but a friend of mine said it was not possible to get it done, so now i'm thinking of getting it painted. when i do, do i need to get a special kind of paint and will the engine be ok while the cover is off and the paint is drying?

You need high temp. paint and I think that the engine should be fina as long as you don't drive with the valve cover off.

I just got my valve cover polished about a month ago.Isent it to a sop and got it back in about a week.the bill was $80.
