Hi,

I have a few questions about vent in your altimas:

1. how often does your car turn vents (on and off) when you are waiting on a road lights with A/C on ? (mine does it every 15-20 seconds and it looks to often for me)
2. how noisy is this switch (mine is really noisy)
3. does this affects your rpm (mine changes from 600 to 750-800)
4. how I can make this switch softer (more quiet)

Hope somebody can help me :) Thanx

Do you mean when the A/C compressor cycles on and off? If so, the sound you're hearing is the clutch on the compressor engaging. Every 15-20 seconds seems a little quick.

Normal engine idle rpm is around 650 to 750. Usually when the compressor engages, you'll see a little RPM dip which the ecu is supposed to compensate for.

Yes, this is exactly what I hear. So you mean that this switch every 15-20 second is normal ? I tought it might be to often. This "click" is pretty noisy in my car. Is there any way to more "soft" ?

Thanx,
Janusz
