Every time I activate my wipers, my washers also activate without pulling back on the stalk. Can I temporarily deactivate the washers by pulling a fuse (and keep the wipers)?

Any clue as to where the problem lies? Is it the switch in the steering column? Or the pump assy under the hood?

Nissan only part???

Thanks!! Need to have it fixed for Monday....

Could be just messed up in the switch...the little pin that detects that your pulling the switch might me messed up. And on that note the time control system that usually makes your wipers pulse after you spray your washers is probably messed up.

Thanks for the pointer!

I ripped the switch apart and everything looked to be fine. Then I realized that the arm for contacting the washers was bent around so that it was contacting the wiper contact, therefore always coming on when the wipers were activated. I bent it back and it worked! Sweet!

I think that I was activating the washers one day when I was shoving the lever up to turn off the wipers and the motion bent the arm, SO DON'T PULL BACK ON THE LEVER WHEN TURNING OFF THE WIPERS!
