On a '98 both the Black/Red and Brown wires go to the ECU ....White/Red is the 12v feed ... The Brown wire is the signal wire ...

Your hooking up a guage? Just as Shawn said...One for power and one for signal.

no, not hooking it up to a gauge...i'm getting the s-afc2

This is a S-AFC 1....The 2 looks a little different and has a few more features, but you get the jist of it. It lets you make changes in your fuel curve to compenstae for larger injectors or modifications. I think the 2 includes a knock sensor reading and a few other doodads....

So your getting a pressure reading and an air flow signal?? Which is your afc basing its corrections off of? One other thing, which wire coming off the afc is going to your map sensor??? :D You got me thinking about ripping into the rats nest down there again...

yeah i'm getting a pressure reading, but it's at a constant 760mmHg, it never changes. my friend has the v-afc in his lude and it's always changing, but he has a manual. the air flow signal works fine. around 1.5-1.7% at idle.
