I picked up my friends e46 bi xenon projectors to mess around with for a possible retrofit in the near future.

Some questions ....

His ballast has 2 plugs.. Supposedly one for high beam one for low beam.
THe lowbeam has 2 pins. I assume to power the bulb + and -.

THe highbeam which i asume powers the solenoid to pull the flap has 3....

How would i go about wiring this? Is there a way to run the solenoid independed of the stock wiring? ANyone know what voltage is required for it to pull?

the ballast has two wires one s a ground ones power, u cant wire the positive to the stock wires cuz it will fri the harness but u can run a 14 guage wire from the battery to a toggle switch inside the car and from the toggle to the two power wires on the ballast. the hi's are can b wired to the stock hi beam wires doesnt take much to open the solenoid. hey im no pro at this just tellin u how i wired my bi xenons. anyway go to hidforum.com and look at the faq's and there is one on wiring bixenons
