What soap should I wash my car with??

I thought I'd ask this question, seems silly, but on this forum I can't get an answer to my ACTUAL tech question:

http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/b15...ics-p0455.html

So I figured someone might know the answer to THIS question. My car is dirty and just looks yucky. Should I use bleach and ammonia or just dishwasing soap?? I don't want it to dry out my skin.

Bleach and ammonia???? uhm... no. I have the feeling that can definitely damage parts of the car. If its real dirty use a little dawn. you want a citrius ingredient cleaner to clean everything off. but after you wax find a good car soap.

I'm joining so that I don't have to run to a mechanic every time I have a little problem and so I can enhance my ride. So, in my frustration of nobody knowing what part it is (or at least no actual TECH info) I posted a ridiculous question...which in fact you did answer. By the way, bleach and ammonia will kill you or at least do permanent damage to your respiratory system, OK? I knew that. My car is not dirty, and I don't care about dry skin.

I did not join to make any buddies, I've got buddies. I know my way around cars, mostly Chevys, Jeeps and Subarus...I've just never seen THIS particular part on ANY vehicle and I could not find any pictures to find out if there is a hose, a plug or a sensor to go in that hole. I searched...all I found was people trying to figure out how to install stereos or an announcemnt that they just discovered WD-40 as a cure all for all things automotive.

I got a perfectly good answer to the question I originally posted by looking at the FSM posted by another member/moderator here. Now I know what part it is (it's the water separator off the EVAP cannister, it's supposed to be open to the air, so the only thing that could possibly be missing is an outflow check valve)

If I can help someone...even if they're just looking for a few answers I will help. Not offering help to a newbie because they just need an answer is counter productive.

You could learn a little by coming over to JeepForum, NAXJA forums, ComancheClub.com and seeing how incredibly knowledgable AND willing to help those guys are.
