your key fob has an actual key .. just pull it out (you have to push the little lock thing up). did you try those to lock/unlock this box?

 

That's very interesting and i just pulled my fob out of my pocket and tried that, and whatta ya know, a key popped out! haha, thanks very much for that info!

Also, when you valet your car (if you ever do), pull that key out of the fob and keep it with you. Give them the fob. It only allows them to open the car door and start the car. If you lock the glove compartment and the trunk (which the lock is inside the glove box) they can't get into them.

Take a look at that section in the owners manual. That thing is very helpful. It also tells you what to do if the battery dies in the fob.

 

but can you disable rear seat access to trunk? in that way i think the secure place will be glove box. not the drunk. shit.

 

There is a lock on the push button release for the passenger side rear seat. This is located on the back dash. There is no release button for the driver's side.
