There is a TSB out for the auto trans shift lock mechanism (TSB #NTB02045). This is the mechanism under the shifter that makes a loud clicking when you take your foot on and off of the brake pedal while at a stop. I think it applies to cars built before March 2002. I went to the dealer this morning to get a copy of the TSB. They would not give it to me. I told them I could get it off the Internet so why not just save me the time (and $35) and let me have it. They said no way. So I asked for the service manager. He said no way. After 5 minutes of going back and forth we negotiated a deal. He let me read the TSB off of the monitor but would not let me hit the print button. It was about 3 or 4 pages long and all I was able to write down was the part number for the fix (# 34998-3Z000). The part is only $2.50 and consists of a couple pieces of rubber that act as an insulator. I bought the part but do not have the TSB instructions on how to install it (because I will not let the dealer touch my car). Anyone out there have connections at a Nissan dealer that can get copies of TSB's?
