clunking sound coming from the rear

Recently, I started to hear a clunking noise coming from the rear suspension when I drive over uneven roads. It sounds like a loose metal hitting against something. I've searched and the only thing I can come up with is a TSB suspension issue or worn struts. Just the other day, I got into my car and I heard the same sound coming from the rear suspension and my car had been sitting in the cold for 3 days.

As some of you may know, I have fixed another sound that was coming from my rear suspension(rear swaybar/rear endlinks) so I highly doubt that this clunking sound is coming from the same area. I was hoping someone could chime in.

Thanks

so how would i know if my rear swaybar bushings are worn? would that create a clunking sound? i still have the stock bushings on but maybe i should upgrade them to the 3.5.

wouldn't bad struts/shocks cause excessive bouncing to the car? i ask this because i do not experience it. perhaps it is a loose mount somewhere..this might be a stupid question but can someone tell me where the mounting points are on the struts/shocks?
