Yes you can. I do it all the time since I have the AT side mirrors. It will be on along with the parking lights though.

 

If you install the stalk that comes with the fog lights, yes it only works with headlights. However, fogs lights can be rewired by a different cirucit, and make it the way u want..

 

For a 2002 yes you can turn on the oem fogs without the headlight being on.

After allot of research i noticed allot of people, like yourself, say that 02-04 Altis can have their fogs on without the use of the headlights (for some reason the base model was excluded, i don't know why). But then why does tWeEzY up there have to have his parking lights on when he has an 03? :banghead:

-Do you have the base model?
-Are those OEM fogs with the OEM switch? Or OEM fogs at all?
-If they are the OEM fogs, with the non fog light stalk, how did you re-wire it to have it turn on with your parking lights? and even if they aren't OEM fogs, how did you re-wire it? (If you did any re-wireing at all)

Besides the fog lights, where did you get that lip from? and what is your suspension setup? Basically how much did you drop it?

I see you have the 05-06 model, just in case the situation is that the 02-04 and 05-06 stalk isn't different, how did you do the rewiring, if you did any rewiring at all? Instruction?

with the oem headlight/fog light set up the parking lights are in the same circuit. I use my fog lights for my DRL's and the parking lights are always on. Its kind of an aggressive look anyway

 

My 02 SE came with fog lights and, using the light stalk, I can turn the fogs on without the headlights being on but the parking lights also light up with the fog lights.
I think the 05-06 are wired so that the headlights come on with the fog lights.

 

^^You're wrong. The 02-04 work without the headlights on. The 05-2012 have to have headlights on for foglights to be on.

Does anyone here, who have the OEM fog stalk, have the auto headlight setting on the stalk to? everywhere i look, all i find is the fog stalk with non auto lights. If it exists can i get a heads up :confused2

 

My 02 has both the auto headlight setting and the fog light switch.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess i'm going to go aftermarket/aftermarket, mainly because i can't afford a new stalk and it is almost impossible to find a stalk that has the fog and auto headlights used.
Now I have to look for instructions on how to put on aftermarket fogs :banghead:
