So, both of my key fobs are low on battery. What kind of batteries does it use and where can I find some? (Besides Nissan Dealerships because their prices are ridiculous)

Thanks!:smile

I'm glad my car came with an owners manual and warranty information booklet...in the glovebox, of all places. It seems that some cars were not equipped with them.

I understand that both contain helpful information, and if you have one, you can look inside any time you want to.

I realize that this is an old thread and that my question may have been answered elsewhere, but I was looking for info on the keyfob for a used Altima I just recently purchased and saw that you mentioned to take the battery out of a second keyfob, if not being used, to save the battery life. I was wondering if leaving the battery out of a keyfob for such an extended period of time would delete the programmed car info on the keyfob? Any thoughts or info on this would be greatly appreciated.

It is quite important to use a high quality CR2032 cell battery. I was having problems with one of my fobs and I had used cheap batteries. The dealer checked mine yesterday and put in a Panasonic CR2032 and everything was back to normal. He said it was a common issue so don’t cheap out on a dollar store replacement.
