Loose Driver Seat

Hello fellow forum members,

Today I experienced the worst ride quality in my 2013 Altima 2.5 SV. My driver seat rocked back and forth as I accelerated and decelerated. It seems like something is loose or broken under the seat cushion. I want to ask if any of y'all experience this problem before.

My car is almost 3 years old and at 43,000 miles. Will the repair be covered under warranty? or is it a DIY easy fix? With the plastic covering around the bottom of the seat, it's hard for me to diagnose the issue without taking everything apart. I'm not afraid to tackle problems like this on my own but I don't want to open it up and find out that something is broken and I can't fix it myself.

Yeah, yeah, some of y'all may be thinking just bring it in the dealership but trust me, the Nissan dealerships around my area all have bad customers service. The only Nissan dealership that I have always receive good service is 100 miles from where I live now.

Thanks,

That front seat must of seen some action lol

I doubt it's covered under the 3yrs/36,000 mile warranty since you exceeded 36,000 miles (unless you have an extended warranty).
Mine is at 20500 miles and the driver seat is fine... They did have to tighten the center arm rest console. That was covered under my warranty.

But I'm sure you can fix it yourself, it just sounds like something got loose...

Yeah it was a missing bolt. I found it but had trouble fitting it back in because it was a tight spot so I just replaced it with a new nut washer and bolt.. These new cars have so much plastic to remove. sighs.
