So..i searched a little bit, but couldn't find anything. I'm also kinda freaked out, so I may have missed it if this has been discussed. A few minutes ago, I was driving home. I was at a red light. When it turned green, and I pressed the gas pedal..the car recieved BARELY any power. It barely moved....It moved a LITTLE BIT, but nothing that is normal. Then, after about 5 secs of pressing the pedal....it all of a sudden had life..and surged forward. I had cars behind me and I though they were going to hit me!

Has anyone else had this issue, or know what this might be? I was turning left at that red light.and I was able to make the turn...but the car had nowhere near as much power as it is supposed to.

Oh, and this is a 2.5, 2009...thanks!
Happened to me once turning left. The CVT has a protection from high temperatures that puts it into a limp mode. Part of your cvt dying. Whining would be next after the tranny warms up. Just had mine replaced at 175km. Took the tech out for a spin after it was warmed up and within a block, he said the belts were slipping causing the noise. A couple days later, new one is in and boy can you tell the difference between the two. Time for you to visit your dealer.
