2003 nissan altima, burns about quart oil every 800 miles. Oil gets dirty quick 111,000 miles driven mechanic suggested engine flush. I've heard it'll destroy engine any definite source? Thanks

Don't flush the engine. Use a full synthetic oil like Pennzoil Platinum 5w30. They claim the oil is effective at cleaning the engine. Or use Mobil 1 high mileage full synthetic 5w30 oil to reduce oil use. Avoid cheap oil filters too.

Hello everyone at Nissanclub. Been awhile but I will suggest a product to add to all nissan engines when you do a oil change. It is called BGMOA. link:BG Products, Inc.

It is an awesome product to add when doing an oil change to help with piston rings and other internals. I added it to my car on the last mobil 1 oil change and could hear a difference almost instantly. I don't recommend stuff usually but this is a great product to add. A friend also said that their fuel injector additive is the best you can use and the machine that cleans injectors is the best he ever used at a dealer. So just wanted to share my experience with this product and say it has made a difference. You can only get this stuff at dealers but some might sell it online. Try it because I could tell a difference in the sound of the engine and I bet you will too.
Hope that helps.
