I took it to a brake shop they said I’d have to take it to the dealer to look into the codes but all the brakes and hub bearings were completely fine.

Why haven't you taken your car to the dealer for diagnosis and possible repair?

Are you waiting for the inevitable accident before it is taken to a shop?

Sorry, but your car does not have a big red RESET button to push to cure all of it's problems.

 

P1212 + U1001 Codes

Friday I started seeing the ABS and TCS light come on. On Sunday, I also saw SLIP light up while running up a steep hill. I plugged a scanner into the OBD port and got the codes: P1212 P U1001 P Is there anything I can check before going to the dealer?

Well I got the car like that and wasn’t driving it until I’ve fixed the problem. I have been avoiding taking it somewhere because I feel like I can figure this problem out myself. So far I have unplugged the yaw sensor and a harness connector to the VDC and the problem has completely gone away. I don’t plan on leaving them unconnected but it’s good to know the problem is with the VDC system. I will post on here again once I do a little more troubleshooting.

 

Other than unplugging connections, how do you plan on troubleshooting the problem?

Do you have the Nissan factory service manual for your car? Do you have a subscription to Alldata? Do you have a code reader that is Consult 3 compatible?
