Hello, I’ve been having an issue on my 2003 350z and I need suggestions on what I should be looking for. When I start to drive the car on the first initial right turn the front right wheel locks up and it almost feels like the tire is skipping across the road. This will go on for about 10 seconds and go away after that the whole ride until I turn the car off and on again. I have two codes u1001 and P1212 and my slip light turns on once the issue happens. I took it to a brake shop they said I’d have to take it to the dealer to look into the codes but all the brakes and hub bearings were completely fine.

Why haven't you taken your car to the dealer for diagnosis and possible repair?

Are you waiting for the inevitable accident before it is taken to a shop?

Sorry, but your car does not have a big red RESET button to push to cure all of it's problems.

Well I got the car like that and wasn’t driving it until I’ve fixed the problem. I have been avoiding taking it somewhere because I feel like I can figure this problem out myself. So far I have unplugged the yaw sensor and a harness connector to the VDC and the problem has completely gone away. I don’t plan on leaving them unconnected but it’s good to know the problem is with the VDC system. I will post on here again once I do a little more troubleshooting.

Other than unplugging connections, how do you plan on troubleshooting the problem?

Do you have the Nissan factory service manual for your car? Do you have a subscription to Alldata? Do you have a code reader that is Consult 3 compatible?

Good luck figuring out this problem, and repairing it.
