I have tried to down load this thing 10 times so far and have not damaged my ecu.Burtman industries who is the company i got it from is trying to get me the correct down load.

If you read enough of the posts on this board, you will find out that SOME people could "fry" their ECU just by trying to replace a light bulb. There are a lot of cautions on the Bully Dog web site, and any time your reprogram memory in any device, there is some risk that it won't work right. So, you should never update your virus protection? Never update the drivers for your video card? Never install new software? If you are halfway competent, and read the directions, there will be very little risk with the Bully Dog, or similar devices.
ive read every post on this thread but not the board but thanks for the info

Use the Bully Dog responsively as they state on the website. So far I have no complaints with mine.
notice any gains with the bullydog? is there a big difference between the regular and premium tunes??

Can someone post some dyno results after a tune with this?

Would really want to see if this is a viable alternative to the technosquare reflash without having downtime..

^^^^Same here,

My goal is to make 270WHP SAE on just bolt ons and tune.

i have noticed some gains overall, smoother acceleration. I have only set it to premium so far, along with advancing the timing +2, changed the rev limiter from 6375 to 6600rpm, increased the idle by 50, and increased the speedlimiter from 110mph to 160mph. I've only taken the car up to about 122mph in 5th gear just to make sure the 110mph governer was removed. While being in 5th gear at 4500rpms, the coupe wanted to keep going but I let off being that I didnt want a ticket etc. LOL. With one more gear to go, im sure I could reach 140 or so.

When I can, I plan on getting it dynoed.

If you do dyno,

Set it back to the stock settings to compare pulls to set net gain

I just got off the phone with the company I purchased my bd from and they said they are having problems with some 05 Altima down loads. They are trying to correct the problem now.So I am going to send mine back and no tune for me.

Are you sending it back for the updated download or are you done with the bullydog all together?

wait....so you waited till 122 mph before you were worried about a ticket? haha, j/k. glad to hear it sounds like you got some nice gains

I have already tried to update. They have to rework the 05 Altima tune so at this point I am sending back maybe try it again later. It works on some 05's but not on mine.I did get a 2degree advance at least.

^^Do you know if it works for the 07+ properly?

I hope you don't plan on going to 140mph on stock tires, because when you kill yourself from your tires blowing off the car, your family can't sue Nissan.:confused2

[edit] ok from the looks of your signature you got something else but they have to be rated correctly for speed.

:shift: Thanks!

Dexion - Trust me I did my research on my Bridgestone RE050A tires and I'm good up to 168mph :woot: Not that I will ever go that fast but ya know...

So is this worth the money as opposed to using TS?
Last time I checked, Technosquare was good for an Infiniti, or a 350Z, but had NOTHING for the 4th gen Altima. So, yeah, the Bully Dog is worth the money as opposed to using something that isn't available. But so far, I haven't seen any real confirmation that the Bully Dog will work on the 4th gens, either.

Seem's to be working for D-roll just fine. I'm interested as well but I'm too afraid to be the first :wall:
